Hi visitor,

Let me welcome you onto my pages in which I will share information with you on my travels through the world. I have spent the last 15 years traveling from West to East and south of the globe. Not that Ihave covered the globe entirely, but still I have enough experience as a traveler and an artist in submerging myself in hitherto for me unknow civilisations and cultures. In 1989 I became involved with the Xavante nation in Brazil's outback of the State Mato Grosso. i became the bloodbrother of a Xavante chief by drinking his blood. that's how I got the name of Wéré'é, which means the many persons in one person. I will go backt to see them after 12 years of absence to finish my book I have been writing on the subject. i am not an anthropologist but anything indigenous or tribal draws my attention, and my art has been very much influenced by it. Themes as colors took a drastic turn after my stay with the Xavantes. If you want to see what I paint, then proceed to www.shopart.com/devuyst
let's this be my first introductory page and hopefully soon, I will find more time to continue writing here.
